We offer FREE job placement services for our students on a
continuous basis after completion of your course(s).
- We conduct
all New York State
mandatory security guard training courses (armed and unarmed) using only
distinguished instructors from law enforcement with extensive military and
police experience. They have wide-ranging knowledge and skills that will offer
you the information that you will definitely need, the type only they can give.
Training that goes beyond the minimum state requirements, and helpful tips that
you will need not only to survive and succeed in the security (or any related)
industry, but also to excel and stand out from the crowd.
Courses offered:
Most people come to us looking for the following two
classes:
1. The Eight
(8) Hour NYS Pre-Assignment Course for Security Guards (to apply for a new
license).
2. The 8 Hour
Annual In Service Course for Security Guards (to renew security license). This
course covers the same subjects as the above 8 Hour class and is a refresher
course that needs to be taken every calendar year to renew your license.
These classes are offered three (3) times per week:
A. On Sundays from 11 AM
X 7 PM.
B. On Tuesdays from 10 AM
X 6 PM.
C. On Thursdays from 10 AM
X 6 PM.
The fee for the above two (s) courses is: $60*
*Disabled US military veterans with VA documented service
connected disabilities pay only $10).

Many people also come to us for the following course:
3. 3. The NYS 16 Hour On-the-Job Training Course
for Security Guards Course (required to be taken by all security guards within
90 days of initial employment though some employers may require it before they
will hire you). This course covers the same subjects as the Eight (8) Hour
Pre-Assignment Course, but adds Terrorism Awareness and an introduction to the
Incident Command System (ICS) which is a structured and organized method used
to respond to emergency incidents of all types.
The Sixteen (16) Hour On-the-Job Training Course is
conducted on the following days:
A. Wednesdays
from 10 AM X 6 PM.
B. On one (1)
other day/evening during the week or weekend.
The fee for the above Sixteen (16) Hour Courses is:
$110*
*Only $60 if you also took the Eight (8) Hour Pre Assignment
Course with us. Receive two (2) days training but pay for only one (1).
We offer the NYS Forty Seven (47) Hour Firearms Training Course
for Security Guards and the NYS Eight (8) Hour Annual In-Service Training
Course for Armed Security Guards on a continuous basis using a varied
day/evening/weekend schedule.
NOTE: You must have a valid New
York State pistol
permit to take this course. Pursuant to Section 400 of the NYS Penal Law you
cannot lawfully possess or handle a handgun without one.

FREE advanced training on many subjects like job interviewing and resume
writing; advanced report writing for law enforcement and security officers;
verbal judo, and others for those who take BOTH the NYS Eight (8) Hour
Pre-Assignment Course for Security Guards and the NYS Sixteen (16) Hour
On-the-Job Training Course for Security Guards with us. Take these two (2)
courses with us and select one other (advanced) course TUITION FREE.
- We offer
one (1) FREE day of training for the mandatory NYS Sixteen (16) Hour On-the-Job
Training Course for Security Guards for those also took the Eight (8) Hour (8)
Hour Pre-Assignment Course. Attend two (2) days of training and pay for only
one (1). It is part of our nonprofit mission to give people in the community a
helping hand in life, and FREE or affordable training is one way we do this.
- Training may be conducted on weekdays, weekends, days
and/or evenings to meet group schedules and offer flexibility.
- We are community based (our fees and free training offers
reflect this), and we are a full time professional and transparent operation
where you can see who is in charge and contact them at anytime.
- We are also centrally located in downtown Bay
Shore in a comfortable modern professional setting on Route 27A (Montauk
Highway/Main Street), just two blocks from the Bay
Shore LIRR station. Cross street
is 4th Ave or Maple
Avenue across the street from Smokin' Al's
Restaurant.
-Certificates are issued on same day upon successful
completion of course.
