To find work (and a workplace) that fits your needs, the first step is to learn what those needs are. And that goes beyond just financial security or flexible work hours. To help you determine your career identity, we guide you through a process of self discovery, examining your: Skills Interests Values Desired Work Environment To make the task more manageable, we spread the Career Assessment & Appraisal over 3 sessions: We carefully review your past experiences, taking into account work history and education. We will also give you assignments (exploring your values, skills, and the Birkman Method Test) to complete for the next session. We will review your assignments and explain what the results say about you. We will also start to identify themes that point to what types of work and work environments might best suit you. We put the pieces together into a strategic career development template. This document provides a set of criteria for your initial job search, and can also guide you throughout your career as you evaluate potential job opportunities and career moves.
