Bill Richey, Director of National Mounted Police Services, Inc. is conducting a Training Clinic at Grove River Ranch (indoor arena) in Gillsville, GA on April 18 & 19, 2009.   This clinic is a unique opportunity for horse and rider to learn how to work through fear issues with better communication and stronger leadership.  Riders can also earn GA P.O.S.T. Credit Hours for Law Enforcement, EMS, Search and Rescue Teams and Sheriff Posse Members.

The objective is to train your horse to be less spooky, more obedient and tolerant using police horse training techniques. Excellent desensitizing for show horses. Riders are taught to understand what physical and psychological reasons that cause horses to spook. Utilizing cavalry drills and obstacles, riders learn the skills to work through the situation, building horse and rider confidence, and encouraging a bond of trust that will enable your horse to go through whatever you ask with little or no resistance.
