Root'd - feeling comfortable in your surroundings. Whether it's your primary, second or third home. Home isn't simply where you reside, it's where you hang your hat... Root'd's unique mix of styles creates an amazing shopping experience. Incorporating traditional rustic mountain style mixed with clean lines, white dishes, hand blown glassware and fun, handmade artisan decor. Melissa grew up in Springboro, OH and has traveled all over discovering her passion for design. Her mother also had this passion for interior design and from a young age, would drag her to antique shops, fabric stores, and home decor stores. After graduating from the University of Dayton in 2002, Melissa moved out to Carlsbad, CA to study gemology and pursue her love of jewelry, including diamond grading, stone identification, business and jewelry design and manufacturing. This experience made Melissa realize the effect of mixing all kinds of styles and materials together was fun, interesting, and a clean look. She then left California, became a custom jewelry designer, dabbling in interiors, in Austin, TX. In 2009 she took a short trip to Utah and have since never left! Melissa loves the combination of rustic, modern and traditional, and incorporate them into her store to create a fun and timeless style!
