assist executors and administrators in administering estates, directing
them as to collecting the estate assets, paying the enforceable debts,
filing the necessary tax returns and making advantageous tax elections,
selling assets, dividing and distributing the estate to its heirs, and
properly funding trusts created under a decedent's will.
We utilize our knowledge and experience to assist
executors and administrators in handling estate creditors in both
solvent and insolvent estates, sometimes negotiating down or avoiding
some debts, and defending estates against creditor claims.
In circumstances where a person dies without a
will, "intestate," we have experience in obtaining an unsupervised
court-created independent administration of estates when the agreement
of all of the heirs can be obtained, saving the estate significant time
and money.
