Jessica Jones, Marriage Family Therapy Intern
Many people feel unseen and unheard. Others feel that they have to hide their family's secrets and pain. I can offer a safe, non-judgemental environment to break free from the labels about who you should be and explore the person you want to become. As a therapist, my desire is help create a supportive relationship that allows individuals, couples, and families to create an self-understanding and acceptance that will be the foundation leading to the change they want to see in their lives. In our work together, we will use the strengths you already possess to create a workable plan for issues that hold you back. The goals are yours, the work is ours. The techniques I use are based on the individual style of each person with whom I am working. My theoretical background is eclectic in nature. I start with a psycho-dynamic viewpoint but I integrate many techniques for change: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, structural, relational, and Motivational Interviewing. I have over 750 hours of working with clients and I encourage you to come for a free 30-minute consultation to see if my style works for your journey. There is hope for healing on your path to freedom.
