Studies have shown that up to 40% of your home’s conditioned air escapes through the attic. To help prevent this from occurring, insulation is installed above your ceiling - the higher an insulation’s R-value, the more effective it’ll be. Many existing homes have insulation with R-values ranging from 11-19. You’ll need at least R30-38 to maximize energy efficiency. To determine exactly how much (and what type) insulation should be installed, we measure and evaluate what you already have and make a recommendation.
