Implants

Missing teeth not only affect your smile, but how you feel about yourself, and even your health. Dental implants are an option for those wanting a permanent solution that feels more natural. The implant process takes place over the course of 3-6 months and involves fusing the implant to the jawbone. It is this integration with the jawbone that makes the implant feel so natural, and unlike a bridge, no additional teeth need to be altered or affected with an implant. Though it takes several months for the implant to heal, a temporary crown can be placed on the implant, which will allow for normal eating, and will also maintain the aesthetics of your smile. Once the implant is healed, the new tooth, or restoration, is attached to it. Talk to us if you’re considering dental implants. Candidates for implants must have healthy gums and an adequate bone to support the implant.
