Just over the mountain from Los Angeles sits a glamorous suburb with a business district chock-full of brand name brand stores. The city of Glendale is considered an escape away from the hustle-and-bustle of Hollywood while still providing its residents with enriching culture and romantic homes. The chiseled plazas and tree-lined sidewalks are designed specifically to allow its patrons to feel great as they shop, eat and play. This tranquil city offers toits residents lives full of peace and excitement.

Because of this fact, homes in Glendale, CA are in demand, but this is nothing new. Glendale real estate has always been in demand since Glendale's earliest days. It is a city defined by high-end hillside neighborhoods with views of the valley as well as Downtown Los Angeles. Large mini mansions line the streets along side large, classic Spanish and Mission revival, mid-century modern and California bungalows.

Though single-family homes dominate the many hillside neighborhoods, apartment and condominium living is the norm. Recently, high-rise buildings have been converted into pricy apartment rentals, including live and work lofts. Fancy communities such as the Americana, blend condo living with retail stores and dining in an outdoor mall atmosphere.

Glendale is a large city with many well-known areas aligning its border. Griffith Park, Atwater Village, and Eagle Rock are attached to the south while Burbank and Hollywood are to the west. Pasadena can be found to the east with La Crescent a-Montrose and La Canada Flintridge to the north. Unfortunately, public transit can be quite difficult with only one metro station located in the south of Glendale. However, any patron with a car can utilize the numerous surrounding freeways to arrive at their preferred destinations.

Glendale is located between two mountain ridges so a lot of the land sits on rolling, handsome hills. The business district may be populated with big-name brands, but the suburbs consist of serene housing complexes built in the 60s and 70s.

Extending from the Americana is Glendale’s locale shopping which contains specialty delis and sweet shops. The highly regarded “Mario’s Deli” has imported food items from Italy so patrons of Glendale can enjoy the succulent sweets and savory meats of Europe.

Nightlife in Glendale is full of classy fun as the historic theatres come to life and the bars fill up with parties. The infamous “Alex Theatre” serves today as a world class performing arts and entertainment venue. Orchestras, ballets and theatrical productions grace the Alex with their presence for the people of Glendale to enjoy.
