Stay in Style and Under Budget at the San Remo Hotel in San Francisco
San Remo Hotel
Downtown Hotel, Bay Area Hotel, the san remo hotel
For less than the price of a private room in hostel, one can stay at a Victorian era B&B when visiting San Francisco. The brass, oak, maple, pine, wicker furniture, pedestal sinks and hanging plants that adorn the San Remo Hotel bring to mind San Francisco circa 1910 while the bright walls give the hotel a crisp and modern feel.
Conveniently located along the 49-Mile Scenic Drive along a quiet street situated in the North Beach section of San Francisco. Fisherman's Wharf is a few intersections to the North while the Powell/Mason Street cable car line provides a direct route to Union Square.
Each of their 64 rooms is separate and private with some rooms having sinks. Choose from a full size bed or two twin beds fitted with mattresses that are more comfortable than those often found in Victorian era establishments. Those traveling as a threesome can have a room with a full size bed and a twin bed. Rollaway beds and cribs are not provided.
All rooms share bath facilities with well maintained toilets and showers with bath towels can be found down the hall from the bedrooms. Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel as well as as computers for those who are sans laptops or iPads and need internet access.
