Sleep apnea impacts millions of Americans every night, though most people live with this condition and do not know that they have it. The problem with simply dealing with sleep apnea is that it can be associated with all kinds of health problems including:
High blood pressure
Sleep apnea occurs when the tongue blocks the airway during sleep by collapsing onto a person’s soft palate, and, in turn, the soft palate collapses against the back of the throat and causes severe snoring. This results in difficulty breathing while sleeping. Eventually, people that are suffering from sleep apnea never get enough sleep, wake up multiple times during sleep, and become sleep deprived.
