PALM BEACH COUNTY STARTS E-RECORDING Posted on October 22, 2014 by vineyardtitle Palm Beach County is very close now to being able to receive documents for recording via an electronic system. In fact, they should be “on-line” to begin as of November 1, 2014. This e-recording system has been available in Broward County for some time and in a number of other counties. Electronic recording is a huge benefit to the title insurance industry because it provides a means for recording deeds, mortgages and other pertinent documents executed at closing the same day. This minimizes the risk to the title insurance company by closing the “gap” or time period between document execution and document recording, In addition, it eliminates consumer charges for the cost of a courier to hand carry documents to the courthouse. Documents are delivered through a secure internet portal that tracks the recording as well as the fees spent on recording.
