Title Insurance insures your ownership (if you are a homeowner). That is a pretty important thing when you consider that your home is most likely your most valuable asset and a haven for yourself and your family. The premium for a title insurance policy is based on the State of Florida rate schedule and will be the same no matter which real estate attorney or title agent you decide to use. It is $5.75 per $1,000 of purchase price up to $100,000 and $5.00 per $1,000 of purchase price for the amount over $100,000.00. Title insurance is also issued to protect a lender who is providing financing for the purchase or refinance of residential or commercial property. We write all types of policies, hold and disburse escrow funds, prepare legal documents for the real estate or mortgage transaction, conduct the closing, record the documents, and coordinate everything between buyer, seller, lender and realtors.
