Mediation is one type of Alternative Dispute Resolution in which a neutral third party, the mediator, meets with the parties in a dispute to help them to solve it.Mediation is an informal and confidential process where the mediator facilitates communication between the parties and helps them to reach an agreement.During the mediation process, the mediator identifies important issues, clarifies misunderstandings, explores solutions, and negotiates settlement. All the discussions are completely confidential; the mediator will not repeat or imply to the other party anything that one party has said unless the mediator has been given express permission to do so.It is our belief that more often than not, litigation is harmful to the participants, win or lose and it is certainly expensive and time-consuming. Mediation can frequently be accomplished at a fraction of the cost, and more importantly, provides a solution crafted by the parties in a positive, restorative process. Our services are performed with the upmost respect for the participants. Neutrality and impartiality are our ethical standards. These ethical standards are formally called the Florida Rules for Certified and Court Appointed Mediators. We cordially invite you to examine the benefits of the mediation process and consider it as an alternative to resolve your disputes in an informal and confidential way.
