All Home Meters, LLC
roof inspection, Insurance Inspection, Wind Mitigation Inspection
A Roof Condition Certification Miami is required for roofs older than 25 years. A Professional Engineer may complete the Roof Condition Certification form.
We perform Roof Condition Certification Inspections in Miami Dade, Hialeah, Homestead, Doral, Kendall, Coral Gables, Beach.
If your home is more than 25 years old, you may be required to provide proof that your roof has been replaced (or is under contract for replacement) to be eligible for coverage. Use the chart below to determine whether this requirement applies to your property. If your home is subject to this requirement, you still may be eligible, even without proof of replacement, if you submit documentation from a qualified inspector verifying the roof has at least three years of remaininguseful life.
If the age and condition of your roof are unknown or you are unable to obtain proper documentation by the date on which you apply for new coverage, your agent will submit your application with the understanding that the required documentation must be received by Citizens within 180 days prior to the expiration date of your new policy.
Roof Condition Inspection
The Roof Condition must be inspected and Certification form / report must be completed by a verifiable Florida-licensed professional. Without an appropriately licensed inspector’s dated signature, the form will not be accepted.
Report acceptable documentation.
Any of the following:
A receipt showing your roof replacement work has been completed
A signed roofing contract
A signed statement from a licensed professional, specifying the estimated age of the roof and certifying that it is in good condition, free from leaks and has at least three years of remaining useful life. (Other forms of documentation may be accepted. Please contact your agent for appropriate forms and a list of licensed/registered individuals who may certify the roof condition.)
Your roof is a major source of protection when there are high winds. If you allow your roof to deteriorate so that high winds can easily damage or dislodge portions of its protective covering, your entire home and all its contents (and even the people inside) are vulnerable to storm damage. Roof deterioration can result in leaks and even in the loss or collapse.
If the age of your roof may makes your property ineligible for coverage and you have repaired or replaced your roof, you need to provide your agent with documentation to update your policy. Documentation should indicate the roof’s estimated age, that it is in good condition and free from leaks, and has a remaining useful life of at least three years.
