Sleep Apnea, obstructive sleep apnea, Sleep Apnea Treatment
People joke all the time about snoring, but did you realize that snoring could be related to other serious medical conditions, including sleep apnea.
Oral appliances, also called dental appliances or devices, may be a great option for patients suffering from sleep apnea who cannot tolerate CPAP machines. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends dental devices for patients with mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea who are not appropriate candidates for CPAP or who have not been helped by it. (CPAP should be used for patients with moderate-to-severe sleep apnea whenever possible.)
Several different dental devices are available. Our dentists at Comfort Care Dental in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are here to help you.
