We have many cage designs that has been tried and tested since 1997...I had a pet shop that specialized in the exotics, mainly reptiles. Snakes, lizards, chameleons, tortoises. At the time I was limited to the caging my pet supply distributors had available. I learned very quickly the caging they had available could not provide a healthy secure environment for the animal .They did not have adequate ventilation. Or heat retention. I also noticed, especially in the all glass terrariums the stress level was increased in certain species. Escapes were a large problem to. The animal would push up on the top and let itself out. Many times the pet owner would accidentally let the animal out themselves. Some cages are cumbersome and clumsy. Which set us up for mistakes. When you have to take the heat lamps and the UVB lighting off the top before you can access the cage for any feeding or maintenance. Broken bulbs and escapes are more frequent. Our cages have self-closing hinges which encourage door closures. They also have a ridge that goes all the way around the door to keep the animal and feeder insects in. The cage comes with a latch that when turned it draws the door shut and forms an escape proof seal. The screen mesh on top of the cage is not typical window screen that rips or tears over time. This heavy mesh can contain large snakes and monitors. The bottom of the cage gives plenty of room for substrate so it stays in the cage. The cage floors are sealed so if a water dish spills, water is kept inside cage until cleanup. Under tank heat or heat pads work great with these enclosures. Cage is moisture and humidity resistant. So tropical reptiles can be accommodated....These cages look very nice! Get creative with cage furniture...driftwood...vines...realistic water dishes and caves...Add your prize animal and some good lighting and you have a great addition to your home or office...Cages can be stacked...they also can be equipped with fixed or removable dividers to house multiple animals without buying multiple cages.
