Plastic, Resin, 3d Printing
PolyJet is the cutting edge of additive manufacturing technology. Similar to sterolithography (SLA), PolyJet produces parts from liquid resins that are solidified by UV light. Well suited to concept modeling, this process offers high resolution parts with an excellent surface finish. PolyJet is one of the few processes that offers rubber-like materials in addition to rigid plastics. It is also the only process that allows for a single part to be produced from multiple materials. The PolyJet process is also able to mix two standard materials to produce “digital materials.” This allows for parts of varying flexibility and opacity. A list of 100+ digital materials can be found at 3Space.us.
