We use a patented breakthrough technology to stop any leak, anywhere in your ducts. Our team locates the problem area(s) and begins the process of repair. Air Duct Clean dispatches a polymer particle solution that sticks to the edge of the leak area, creating concentric circles until the leak is fixed. Duct Sealing Certification: When the sealing process is completed, the results are verified and provided to the customer. Below are some examples of the duct sealing certificate. PATENTED TECHNOLOGY Aeroseal's aerosol ductwork sealing technology was invented and developed by the Energy Performance of Buildings Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 1994. This technology internally seals duct leaks in air distribution ducts by injecting a fog of aerosolized sealant particles into a pressurized duct system. The key to the technology is to keep the particles suspended within the air stream without depositing on the duct surfaces until they reach the leaks, where they leave the air stream, deposit at the leak edges, and seal the leaks. Other Energy Tips Move lamps and TV sets away from room air conditioning thermostats. The heat from the appliances will cause the air conditioner to run longer than necessary. Don’t forget about the landscape around your house…well-placed trees in the yard can save $100 to $250 annually on cooling your home. If you use a ceiling fan in conjunction with your air conditioner, you can lower the thermostat about 4%. The fan will make up the difference in how cool you feel (and use a lot less energy). In the summer, turn down the temperature of your water heater to the “warm” setting. That water heater can account for as much as 25 percent of the energy used in your home. Setting your air conditioner to run at 78 degrees F instead of 72 degrees F can save as much as 18 percent on your cooling bill. Use the microwave, toaster or even counter-top grill instead of the oven. Less energy – less air conditioning needed. Running a computer can cost about 21 cents per day – or about $75 a year. Turn it off when not in use. In fact, so many office and entertainment appliances are made to run even when the unit is “off.” The best solution is to plug them all into a multiple-outlet strip that can be easily turned off with a single button, when you leave the room. You can save up to $150 on energy costs by using a programmable thermostat. Properly set, they turn your heat/air conditioning off when you’re at work and turn it on just in time to make the place cozy before you return home.
