Published in November 2014, this customizable application for challenged readers of all ages helps to FOCUS a reader's eyes on the selected LINE(s) of text to be read AND BLOCKS OUT as much or as little surrounding text as desired. The virtual Reading Focus Card "floats" on top of any underlying application such as Word documents, web pages, Excel spreadsheets, e-books and more, all the while staying on top even when scrolling down the underlying media. The application is especially helpful to children and adults with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, low vision, stroke, brain injury, Parkinson's and other conditions that can impact reading success. The Reading Focus Cards app is available for Macs and Windows PCs as a reasonably-priced download. To learn more, please visit the Help for Struggling Readers blog and read the article there entitled "NEW Desktop App Now Helps Even More Struggling Readers" (published November 11, 2014). You'll find additional information there along with several screenshots and links to the downloads. Now there are both the low-tech Reading Focus Cards (Patent 7,565,759) for physical books, documents, etc. AND the high-tech Reading Focus Card desktop app for digital media to help even more challenged readers of all ages and abilities to focus and read with much more success!
