A local client was referred by a Conservator to Jeff Johnson Restorations to restore a circa 1835 drop front secretary and hutch that was owned by Samuel Wait. Samuel Wait was the Baptist Minister that traveled from New York in the 1800's and founded the town of Wake Forest and Wake Forest University. The client is a direct descendent of Samuel Wait and Jeff is thrilled to be working on this project for them. Eventually, it is likely this piece will end up the Wake Forest Historical Musuem.
