Hydroseeding, Lawn Installation, lawn renovation
Hydroseeding is the process of combining water, grass seed, mulch (which is usually a combination of recycled newspaper and wood fibers), starter fertilizer, tackifier (which is a product used to bind the hydroseed in place) and other soil amendments. These materials are then mixed together to form a nutrient rich slurry, which is roughly the consistency of applesauce. This slurry is then mechanically applied and sprayed evenly to your prepared seed bed. The force of the spray drives the seed into the soil and plants it at the perfect depth. The seed is protected by the mulch, which helps keep the seed moist and safe from birds. In a short time with careful watering practices, the seed will germinate and turn into your new lawn.
