Dentures are removable dental appliances that replace missing teeth and surrounding tissue. There are two types – complete or full, and partial. Full dentures are used when all the teeth are missing or are too damaged to save. Partial dentures are used when some of the natural teeth remain and are strong enough to support the partial. The dentures replace groups of teeth and can be used on both the lower and upper jaw.
