Precision tooling, manufactured from customer prints for a wide range of industrial applications, is available from Philadelphia Carbide Company, suburban Philadelphia manufacturer of wear and machine parts. The tooling can be made in many different configurations and is machined from hard materials—principally carbides and ceramics. These tools, used by manufacturers to produce' products and components for their own customers, are specially made to conform to the dimensional tolerances, specifications and schedule the customer requires. Among the parts Philadelphia Carbide has manufactured are products as diverse as water jet plungers, punches, dies and die inserts, high viscosity mixer pins, homogenizer replacement parts, industrial guide rings (G rings), contact tips and pads Philadelphia Carbide is equipped with the machinery, processing techniques and experience to produce parts with OD's or ID's as small as .009” and in lots as small as one and as large as many thousands. Capabilities also include machining of internal, external diameters and thicknesses of .009” on up; internal and external tolerances to .0002”; and surface finishes to one micro-inch (.025 micron) All parts manufactured by Philadelphia Carbide are subjected to extensive quality control measures to ensure compliance with all technical specifications---starting from certification to ensure the purity and physical properties of the raw materials, through rigid manufacturing controls, to advanced measurement capabilities of the final product.
