What are the benefits of learning Taekwondo?
There are many benefits to learning Taekwondo. There are physical benefits: improved personal fitness, practical self defense, natural weight loss and weight maintenance, muscle tonality and control, and overall better health. There are also many mental and emotional benefits: improved focus and discipline, self confidence, stronger peer interaction, and a better self esteem.
How is Taekwondo different from Karate?
Taekwondo is different from karate in the fact that Taekwondo uses more kicking, whereas karate uses more hand techniques. We also have a strong base in Olympic-style Taekwondo, which utilizes our martial arts skills in an athletic setting. In addition to Taekwondo, we incorporate many styles in our self defense program, including Hapkido, Ju Jitsu, and others.
How do I get started?
We encourage you to visit Beyond Taekwondo. Nothing will prepare you better than visiting the classrooms and meeting the instructors. Once there, we offer a Free, 20 minute Private Lesson where we will give you a tour and introduce you to the things you will be learning with us.
