VINTON - Feb. 25, 2015 - The press and public are invited to the grand opening of Magnets USA, now one of Vinton’s largest businesses. The event is slated for March 18 at 720 Third St., beginning at 1 p.m. Guests will enjoy speakers, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the renovated facility, which was once home to Grumman Fire Truck Corporation. Refreshments will be served. Founded in 1990 by Dale Turner, Magnets USA produces more than 20 million magnetized marketing products annually. “We’re so excited to begin the next 25 years in our expanded facility,” Turner said. “We’ll create new products and reinvent current ones to create a bright future for our company, our clients and our community.” Though its client base comes primarily from the real estate industry, Magnets USA services the Salem Red Sox, Kid Rock Enterprises, Burning Man, FloydFest, the American Quilter’s Association and many local schools. In November, Magnets USA donated 500 commemorative fundraiser magnets to the Roanoke Rescue Mission’s Drumstick Dash. Products range from magnetic calendars, sports schedules and event schedules to custom magnets and business cards. Last year marked the launch of their premium closing and corporate gift, LifeLong Cutlery. In 2010, Magnets USA was named Small Business of the Year by the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce. Magnets USA is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Fridays until 5 p.m.
