Character Development

USTA Martial Arts uses multiple programs simultaneously to develop our students character. For ages 4-6 we recite the children's home rules every class. For all children we spend the last part of class working on one of the home rules, we stay on one topic for 8 weeks so the children can really make a habit of the home rule. We also have a stripe program where the children earn stripes on their belt for behaving at home, at school, doing chores, and reading. If they get all the stripes on their belt they earn a trophy after testing for their next belt. All of our programs come together to develop the child's character while building confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
