Blue Horse Landscapes & Design
Blue Horse Design services are tailored to the client. Although we specialize in Native plantings and ways to help preserve the natural landscape, designs in the traditional and modern landscape are also offered. One thing that will never be included in a design is a full lawn installation, unless it is a "no mow" grass. More information about "no mow" grass can be found within Blue Horse's blog and pinterest board. Or you can simply call and chat!
For the initial consultation and site evaluation. Blue Horse's Designer will meet you at your residence to go over every area you are considering re-scaping. This includes grading problems, garden placements, perennial gardens, full site landscaping around home or any area of property. Tree planting, native grass planting. Water control and swale design. The consultation will be extremely thorough. Detailed notes, exact exterior home measurements, triangulation measuring of the property, pictures, and of course full description of the wants and needs of the client will be taken. This goes for new construction homes, existing residential home, and commercial properties.
The estimated time it takes to complete the design process after consulting with the client will also be given to ensure a more comfortable idea of final price.
The designer will then take all the notes and measurements back to the office and draft out a full landscape design. Communication is a very big deal to Blue Horse Landscapes & Design to ensure the happiness and personalizing for the client. Depending on the work load during the season, your design will be ready usually 2 weeks after the first consultation.
As listed above - all that is included in your design service will be delivered and the final design consultation will take place. This process will usually take around 2 hours and could be longer depending on whether or not the clients will be installing themselves or hiring a company to install their design for them. Detailed description of the plan, plants used, environmental benefits, coaching on how to plant, when to prune, or where the bed lines fall will be discussed. Coaching on how to do proper measuring of bed lines will also be taught and explained.
