The founders of "Hero On The Bay" have committed themselves to providing these men and woman this service and extending it to our "Wounded Warriors" across the country We the founders, some active duty service members, some civilians and some members of support agencies on base came together with the idea of serving the interest and desires of those who fought to protect our freedoms Several are avid anglers who understand the relaxation attributed to spending time on the magnificent Chesapeake Bay in pursuit of its many bounties, all are committed to assisting those who dedicated themselves and their life to protect and preserve the freedoms we ALL hold dear as Americans What started out as a few folks who wanted to go fishing, has now grown to provide an opportunity for ALL our "Wounded Warriors" from ALL branches of the Armed Services In October 2008 we heard of several "Wounded Warriors" that expressed a desire to spend day fishing on the Chesapeake Bay
