Meet the Business Owner Katie Brinson moved to Chesapeake to open Luna Vista Jewelers in May of 2015 from Front Royal, Va. Her search for the right market and location took her from DC all the way to North Carolina. She finally settled over 200 miles away on Chesapeake due to the fantastic community and wonderful local culture, as well as the local economy. Katie began in the jewelry industry at the age of 18, working her way up from a sales associate to a store manager responsible for every facet of the business from inventory management to design and sales. She completed her two undergrad degrees and MBA and paused to pursue a career in banking. After five successful years as the top lender for the largest family-controlled bank in the country, Katie decided to combine her MBA, love of finance and passion for jewelry into the business of her dreams.
