KC Plumber Pro is Kansas City's water heater installation specialist. Our plumbers can replace your old leaky water heater within a few hours of notification. We never charge any extra for night or weekend water heater installations. We do most of our installations in Leawood, Prairie Village, Mission, Kansas City Kansas, and Lenexa. For most areas in Kansas City you need to have a thermal expansion tank installed when you replace your water heater. Older homes did not need to have expansion tanks installed because the plumbing used to be different than it is today. The main difference is the check valves that are now required at the water service entrance to most homes in Kansas City. The check valve is also referred to as a pressure reducing valve. It prevents water from backflow contamination. While the check valves or PRV's improve the safety of our potable water supply, they can be hard on appliances such a the hot water heater.
