The innovative partnership between Elgin Community College, Harper College, and The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership allows students to prepare for business, customer service, office administration, or manufacturing careers.
Since opening in 2014, the Education and Work Center has offered English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education classes such as English as a second language (ESL), adult basic and secondary education (high school equivalency), and Spanish high school equivalency classes (in English or Spanish) for individuals 16 and older with less than a GED test credential or high school equivalency certificate. The on-site WorkNet Center has served thousands of clients providing job search assistance, resume help, and career advising. Students interested in college-level classes may be eligible for financial aid opportunities.
